I said this a long time ago on here, but I want to say it again tonight. This is why we side eye every white person in America. Yes, I have white friends. Good ones. But damn it. Today just reminds every person of color that whiteness in America is both toxic, and privilege.
Black people get mowed down for simply showing up with Black Lives Matter signs. White men and women get to storm the capital, get snacks, run around. Only one person is shot, ONE. How many black people have been shot for nothing?
And don't come in my feed talking about don't talk about race....this is horrible for all of us, but less so for white people. Today happened because the racist Donald Trump came down the elevator talking about Rapist Mexicans, shit hole countries.. and yet...
This White supremacist president was embraced by white evangelicals, proud boys, business, media, University Presidents (I'm looking at you Notre Dame) ALL YALL.
America is reaping what she has sown through embracing a white supremacist, and continuing to punish black, brown asians and others for the failings of white men and women and their inability to cope with their feelings of inadequacy and violence to other people.
America, Trump, and especially all of these religious leaders who have sucked up to the evil of white supremacy show us that this nation is rotten at its core, and it will take years to get the stench of this man's perfidy off this nation.
The Rev Jeremiah Wright was right. God damned America because of her racism and violence a long time ago. Today shows how deep that damnnation has gone.
