The US was rocked by sectarian tension as supporters of far Right Christian Nationalist President Trump clashed with police at the US Capitol.

The US recently held a hotly contested election for the post of President which both parties claim to have won.1/n
While Mr. Biden and the socialist left-led Democrats claimed victory, Mr. Trump refused to concede defeat. Mr. Trump's supporters who are far right Christians who believe that only white Christians should run the US, have been battling with Mr. Biden's supporters on the ground2/n
The US, while being the oldest democracy has been known for its culture of sectarian violence. Since its settlement by whites Caucasians from Europe in the 1500s, they have carried out a genocide against the native inhabitants of the land, known as Native Americans 3/n
They have also been involved in large scale slaver of black Africans who over the centuries have been denied basic human rights. While the US got its independence in 1776, it was only as recent as the 1960s that black Americans were able to send their kids to the same schools 4/n
and colleges as white Americans. In the recent part the Blacks have risen up to challenge the far right white Christian fascistic forces, through the Black Lives Matter movement.
The UN Secretary General and other world leaders 5/n
have appealed to the US to ensure that smooth transfer of power takes place.
"We expect the US politicians to respect the mandate of the people", he said. The UN is also considering sending international peacekeeping forces to the US to help oversee the transfer of power. 6/n
Several countries around the world from Europe, Asia and Africa have issued travel alerts to their citizens for traveling to the US.
"The US is not the safest place to travel to right now", said Xi Jinping. Mr. Jinping called on the US government to reject reactionary forces.7/7
