The attempted Coup on America today was an INSIDE JOB. An act of sedition inspired and encouraged by the sitting President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump. But Trump did not act alone.

I fear that todays attack may have been aided by sitting Republican lawmakers, supported with intelligence (including maps, soft targets, and Capitol Hill security intel) supplied by federal employees acting as partisans through their involvement.

This investigation must reach into the knowledge and actions of high level Cabinet Members, Senior Administration Officials, and even Congressional Members themselves.

While Trump has altered many norms in American society, we must be United in our support for the common defense. Today was a serious and direct attack on America and American Democracy the likes unseen since the American Civil War.

Elected Members of the highest ranking deliberative body of our nation had their lives and safety threatened as they attempted to carry out their constitutionally sworn duty; kept captive by an unlawful, unconstitutional and treasonous attack on our homeland.

Congress must act without delay to identify the full scope and reach of this possible conspiracy against our country, & the deliberate attempt to disrupt the hallmark of our system of government - the peaceful transfer of power. They must follow the facts wherever they may lead.

Congressional Committees, Homeland Security, National Security Agency, Pentagon and Department of Justice must answer for today’s intelligence and threat failures. All involved in this terror attack must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. #ThisIsAmerica
