A random yarn about Claire Polosak who becomes the first woman to officiate in a men's Test match today.
We at @EmergingCricket were in Namibia in April 2019 for World Cricket League 2, where she became the first woman to officiate as an on-field umpire in a men's ODI.

Claire had a blinder of a tournament leading up to this day. With no technology to fall back on (even for run outs), I can't recall an incorrect decision. While commentating on the streams and looking back at replays everything was spot on. Tricky caught behinds, LBWs etc.
Claire was in the middle for one of the crazier matches we've seen anywhere ( @usacricket v @CricketNamibia1). Final two overs here:
Final over of a match with millions of dollars on the line for the two teams chasing ODI status. No 3rd umpire...

... Run out appeal after overthrows, no technology to fall back on and absolutely nailed it.
Can't remember after which game it was (think the umpires all did six games in eight days - crazy in itself), but @timcutler and I bumped into her at Wanderers...

... Claire wanted to know if any of the decisions over the tournament were incorrect watching the streams back, to see if she missed anything.
"What about that caught behind?"
"Nup, spot on."
"That run out appeal?"
"Nope, that was right too."
Couldn't find a single blemish
