A few years ago @CapitolPolice arrested more than 150 peaceful protesters, many of them sexual assault survivors, using their 1st amendment right to protest the Kavanaugh nomination. I haven't been able to find one report or photo of any marauders or looters arrested today.
When disability rights protesters peacefully objected to cuts in Medicaid, more than 180 were arrested. @CapitolPolice took down people with physical disabilities. I have not yet found even one marauder or looter handled like these disabled heroes were.
When disabled people peacefully protested the harm legislators wanted to inflict upon them - @CapitolPolice literally flipped people out of their wheelchairs. I've seen no such aggression toward those who looted our Capitol today.
When legislators considered brutal cuts to Medicaid for disabled people, @CapitolPolice ziptied & dragged out peaceful protesters with physical disabilities. Today Capitol Police walked looters around & took selfies with them.
Today @CapitolPolice took selfies with marauders & looters who shut down Congress & trashed the building. They were much tougher on disabled people when they peacefully demonstrated for their right to live.
During the peaceful protests against the Kavanaugh nomination, @CapitolPolice ARRESTED AMY SCHUMER. But looks like zero arrests today?
A few years ago @CapitolPolice ziptied & rounded up peaceful protesters onto buses for mass arrests. But somehow today's shutting down Congress, marauding & looting & damage to national property wasn't as big a deal?
Last year @CapitolPolice arrested Sam Waterston for peacefully protesting lack of policies addressing climate change. Looks like today's raiding of the Capitol, shutting down Congress & looting the building posed less of a threat than this actor.
But today @CapitolPolice seemed to just enjoy the festivities of marauders shutting down Congress's Constitutional duty & looting offices & precious spaces in our nation's Capitol. This is abject failure. It is complicity. https://twitter.com/bubbaprog/status/1346920198461419520?s=20
