knowing that a n*zi movement has been gaining more traction and influence in the US now than at any other point in my life makes me feel SUPER unsafe as a Jew living in a red state rn!!!

the Jewish Community Center/Holocaust Museum I have been visiting since I was a baby faced a stark rise in threats/antisemitic attacks since Tr*mp got elected. It is so deeply disturbing to see people standing in front of a place you call home "protesting" your right to exist.
i'll never forget walking there to work one day (I was an art teacher at the JCC summer camp) seeing a man yelling out antisemitic slurs and holding up a mostly unintelligible sign ('something-something burn the Jews') and the Police hardly bothered to get him to leave.
the man was saying all of that horrid stuff while standing in front of a crosswalk in the parking lot where parents were walking their kids to the Hebrew day school. Spewing that shit right in their faces. Just. Ugh.
I'm so glad GA has gotten their first black and jewish senators... but holy shit its so hard to celebrate when white supremacy in this country is just... it IS the country. Clear as day, always has been.
Fuck everyone who's allowed this to happen.
