Like it or not, if the rule of law and democracy completely breaks down in America it ultimately breaks down for all us. Both the left and the right in the Western world must learn this quickly. But, hey, if you hate the status quo then you might love what comes next. Or.... not.
Both sides peddle conspiracies. Both sides love the internet, social media, and the power of big tech to fuck us all up. Time to get real.
We're in a world breaking down on most fronts. Too many people, too few resources, not enough collective brain cells, and extreme capitalism run wild. We're all gonna' need to find a new way forward and accept that we must give up many, many things. Or perish. One or the other.
One the most valuable lessons one learns when working with nature is that the land can only sustain so much before breaking down. When humans lose their connection with nature - and its rhythms and laws - this is the societal outcome. We believe we control nature. No, we don't.
