1. Butterfly hug/tap: place hands on opposite shoulders and tap one hand at a time, slowly. Bilateral stimulation helps w emotional processing.

- Use your voice if possible. Hum, read outloud, anything.
-Hold your breath and put your face in very cold water for as long as you can stand. Even just splashing your face with cold water can help

-List 5 things u see, 4 u touch/feel, 3 u hear, 2 u smell, 1 u taste
-use your eyes to trace the edges of something, natural shapes like tree branches work well, but use what you have in environment

I want to add that no matter what you’re feeling, it’s absolutely understandable under the circumstances. You may not be able to calm down and that’s also perfectly fine. Your mind and body are doing everything they can to try to protect you.
