Had the honor to take a student trip to DC as a junior in high school. We had to bring a suit and a tie for the day we toured the Capitol. One of our congressmen had to grant permission for us to even enter. To see it so easily sacked by American insurrectionists is mind boggling
Walking those halls filled me with awe. I understood what a privilege it was to be there and take in the history of the place. To see a Confederate flag paraded through those halls today, costumed terrorists posing for selfies...I have no words. Only shame for our country.
