If we really want to heal from the damage that has been inflicted by Trump, we need to see prominent Republicans publicly repent of aligning with him. To be clear, I'm not suggesting anyone retrospectively endorse Hillary Clinton or endorse policies they clearly oppose...
But a critical mass of Republicans needs to admit that they made a deal with the devil when they decided to let @realDonaldTrump take over the GOP b/c they thought it would guarantee them short-term victories. And I need them to admit that this mistake was selfish and damaging.
And if these politicians were planning on participating in the Electoral College challenge on the floor today, they can demonstrate their repentance by standing down & affirming the EC vote. This stunt has proved to be more damaging than the naysayers (of both parties) predicted
