Hearing a lot of poor asset allocation advice.

Commodities were the way to hedge against inflation because they are the most upstream. But blindly buying commodities is a good way to lose money. They have their own cycle driven by demand/supply.
But the days of heavy infra building are over. Every small town in China already has its own airport and nth bridge/expressway.

Aside from pockets of EV related commodities (which haven't already been bid up) we need to look for "modern commodities"
What are modern commodities?

Semis and semi cap

These are building blocks of tech. They also operate under their own cycle independent of most other. And this is where China is focusing on now. Not iron ore.
