There are no words right now to express my shock at what is unfolding in Washington. I just cannot believe what has unfolded. Storming the Capital building, this is the downfall of democracy in America
I’ve just watched Biden speak. He spoke well but there’s one thing that struck me; when Portland, Seattle, Kenosha and countless other places were being smashed up by a BLM/Antifa alliance, where was Biden then?
Biden kept silent because those people were Democrat voters. Now he speaks out...I am not trying to equate one with the other, there are bad people on both sides, the lack of consequences and speaking out then has led to what’s happened now.
Yes Trump has incited and my goodness; sedition, treason, that’s just for starters...his day will come in court. Trump needs to tell his supporters to back down but equally, there are a lot of grievances that won’t be getting addressed any time soon.
Don’t underestimate the role of the American media in this either. They’ve spent the last 4 years demonising conservatives while praising “peaceful” protests in Portland, Seattle, Kenosha etc. I’m not surprised there’s push back, I’m really not.
