in the usa’s capital city, we have a capitol building- used for many major governmental meetings. these include presidents being inaugurated (put in office), laws being written, etc.
earlier today, pro-trump ‘protesters’ broke in, prompting a shelter-in-place for senators that were there. currently, i believe, they are in the basement as police deal with the situation upstairs.
how are they dealing with it?
some sort of gas was released. i do not have info on that yet. shots were fired, but, reportedly, only 2 people were shot. i do not know if they were bystanders or those who broke in.

i don’t even have words. most police officers would not like people being this close in proximity during normal duty- but with shooting and bomb threats? is this what it’s come to?
