My sincere apologies to everyone who follows me for the thread I published today. I wasn't keeping an eye on the news and had not seen the news about events in America. It was hugely inappropriate to tweet about guns in pulp at the current time and I know it caused distress.
There are no excuses: I did not think about you or what you were feeling, nor did I check to see the context into which I was tweeting. I just ploughed on without looking up to see what was happening in the world.
With 125k followers this account now comes with responsibilities and I need to get much better at facing up to those. I hope everyone in the US who follows me stays safe, and the awful situation unfolding there is quickly brought under control.
