For folks in the U.S., we're witnessing something unprecedented right now. It's normal to feel overwhelmed. Read the news if it helps, step away if it does not. For folks in D.C., stay home if you are able and stay safe.
It's hard to know how to help during a major crisis, but the truth is often to go local: look for the people fighting to protect democracy in your town, your state. Support them in money or time or calls or people or whatever you can give. Help make it so everyone can vote.
In the meantime, today, be careful with your media consumption. Breaking news is constantly updating and not always accurate, so take breaks, catch up later, avoid spreading rumors and inaccuracies.
