5 Twitter metrics that matter

“Use data to grow your account”

=A THREAD BY WD=
• Do you use Twitter analytics?

• What metrics do you check on it?

• How far do you go on these data?

If you know how to encounter the most important metrics, you can optimize and increase your growth.

Here’s how:
First, you need to log in to your analytics page.

• Go to https://analytics.twitter.com

• Or follow this path on your desktop computer:
1. Top tweet

This is that one tweet of yours earned the most impressions over the last 28 days or a set period.

This tweet has reached the largest audience.

So, analyze it to see what made this one so special!

This will be helpful for your future tweets.
2. New followers

Followers that you’ve gained over a period.

• If your follower count is ascending, good. Keep it up!

• If not, find out what the problem is.

• Or just go to this link. Someone else has done it for you; get it & follow the guides:

3. Impressions

The number of times your tweets have been seen.

This metric is important; the more people see your tweet, the more audience you’ve reached!

Keep this number up and make it bigger every day.

Here are my impressions over 91 days:
4. Engagements

Remember the impressions?

They are meaningful only if the people who see your tweet, also engage with it. (like, RT, LC, anything!)

Find the tweets with the most engagement Rate.

This will shape your growth strategy.
5. Link Clicks

When you put a link (website, aff link, etc.) in your tweet, this metric counts the number of times people click on it.

This shows how good you convinced people to interact with you. And how good your product is.

An example of link clicks on one of my tweets:
Twitter analytics is a powerful yet very underrated tool for any Twitter marketer.

Make sure to use it the best and beyond to get an edge.
