So, Trump tweeted something now. Which is good. He had to wait until AFTER his followers had pushed past police and entered the Capitol building and there was a face off with guns, but, you know, okay. https://twitter.com/JamesGunn/status/1346898674052263936
BEFORE tweeting to chill out, after protestors had entered the Capitol, he first chose to tweet an attack on the Vice President, but, you know, I guess.
Trump has dozens of business fail, never takes any accountability for any one of them, blames them all on someone else. He never once admits he's wrong, or admits he has lost at anything - not even the Emmys!
And then people BELIEVE him when he says he actually won the election in a landslide after being defeated by the largest percentage of votes in the modern era? Come on. Most people don't really believe him. They WANT to believe him enough to pretend reality isn't reality.
Everyone knew back when Biden kicked his ass in the ratings the night of the supposed second debate who the people really wanted as President. That was a vote, and Biden won by the same wide margins as he did the election.
So the Virginian National Guard are there now (thanks, guys). As I understand it, because DC isn't a State, Trump has to okay the deployment of the National Guard there. Which he refused to do. So Pelosi had the Virginian National Guard come in.
I'll restate that: People broke into the Capitol building, destroyed property, one woman has been shot in the neck, our elected officials are in hiding with gas masks on, and THE SITTING PRESIDENT REFUSED TO ALLOW THE NATIONAL GUARD TO PROTECT ANYONE.
Meanwhile, Republicans have been bitching for four years about football players taking a knee, how itchy masks make their faces, and how offensive it is that someone wants to be called "they."

Thinking positively, perhaps American is waking up after a long sleep and it hurts like hell getting out of bed.
Now the acting Secretary of Defense has acknowledge that Pence, not Trump, deployed the National Guard. So even when the Capitol is stormed, a woman shot, an armed face off within & elected officials in hiding, Trump refused to do so. He was complicit in the failed insurrection.
