I read the response from the Woman’s hour and it felt under the belt to me, the way @kelechnekoff was treated. Accountability is one thing. Setting someone up is something else. Reading this as objectively as I can, it looks like a set-up to me.
Just the fact she was invited to discuss feminism & #metoo and within seconds of her being on air is asked about anti-Semitism, is worrisome. Why not be transparent? Why not allow her reasonable time to prepare? She did not give her consent.
I doubt it is coincidental she was selected. The crew really likely was looking for something explosive some clickbait at her expense. Another concern.
Then you have the whole pre-show exchange she is supposedly not supposed to have been a party to...that’s a lot of coincidences.
But let’s deem it a coincidence for argument’s sake as it is so claimed...wouldn’t you expect then anyone who’s a party such an unexpected & loaded/sensitive convo ABOUT them to be destabilised/shook before going on air?

Why would she be expected to proceed as though nothing?
Kelechi decided to walk away possibly on her guts feelings, I doubt any of us an see the game being played while it is on-going. We have to trust her. It sounds very much as though I would have walked away too. Not safe at all actually possibly dangerous territory.
A comment has been made re: pitting Jewish folks against black folks, the problem with that is Jewish ppl can be black. But I think there is a larger structural process at play here which I am still thinking about...and I think it is effective here.
Let me try...I think resentment around BLM in all non-black communities means too many are looking for a quick equaliser, something that takes the focus away from white supremacy/patriarchy...one way to do this is to zoom in on alleged discriminatory behaviour by black ppl.
It’s like ‘look at them’! They claim to be experiencing racism from us, they call us racist, they are really just as bad! Look Ms BLM is actually racist/antisemitic/Islamophobic...
It’s a way to discredit anti-blackness and BLM and intersectionality, Kelechi’s main arguments...I guess another coincidence. That’s really is a lot of coincidences.
Last thing I would say is black women deserve much better. We are entitled like anyone else to learn & grow. No we are not above accountability but sorry, violence towards our body needs to stop being entertainment...
You can’t* violate the basic dignity of anyone and say you want them to learn. No. That’s call sadism. And trust me we can recognise white sadism. We have had a few centuries of practice. I stand you you Sis @kelechnekoff I am so very sorry 🙏🏿
