1/3 The logistical nightmare that has been presented to principals today is indicative of a system that is built to serve the status quo of a university entrance exam.
A decision now to have predictive grades would create an incentive to students to engage &work w their teachers
2/3 the issue of college entrance should be for the universities to resolve not PP teachers.
Students can earn a LC based on predictive grades. If this decision is made now it ought not have to go through the same bureaucracy as LC2020.
3/3 I fear the unions will be placed in a v difficult position of calling a strike, in which case all students & staff lose out, all for the sake of an outdated terminal exam.

To be clear my preference is for schools to safely reopen for all.
