This is Eileen. She's 92 and last spring she had #Covid-19. Today she received the first dose of her #vaccination and it felt so momentous we both wanted to share ❤️🤗

I might add that Eileen is keenly looking forward to her pals being able to get vaccinated too and we all hope they'll be able to visit her again properly soon afterwards and have lots of hugs. Eileen isn't lonely, but she misses hugs a lot...
one of the most difficult things for all of us at work is not being able to give a resident a hug, or hold their hand, because physical contact has to be kept to a minimum. It's made the carers' work very transactional and much less rewarding
