more textures! bison are fun to draw because they're big furry lumps with lil stick legs. Also I've been quietly pitching sandhill cranes for new blaseball players for a while now but no one shares my enthusiasm. so i included one here! be the change you wish to see in the world.
headcanon: oscar dollie is a tough vegeta type who meditates in scalding hot springs to strengthen his focus to get more Powerful Magicks so he can overthrow bevan one day. also he is a buff bighorn sheep with 3 glowing eyes. he plays catcher.
oz being a catcher has been sealed in my head as canon since this first magic art i made where the best bighorn pic i could find was from behind so i put him behind the plate.
hcs: logan and curry have been blaseball players longer than anyone else on the team and are best pals. curry's a troublemaker and logan is her partner in Crime. big 6 is also here because i love the idea of a giant white boar guarding a time portal that just lives in the stands.
this is another headcanon that goes all the way back to my old image of the team. curry needed to sit on SOMEONE'S shoulder, and logan had an open one. this is also where logan just being an old man with a backwards had came from, except now hes also half tree (he's also a druid)
sorry if you don't like it, but it's canon that dad has a cabin in the middle of the park where he goes to grill sometimes. my dad design is trying to keep him looking similar to the baseball guy on the wiki while also being a big lovable goober. 85% dad jokes 15% lumberjack

another hc is that bonk and chorb are pals! this frame is basically a redraw of an old piece i made where they're hanging out. i love frog chorb but human chorb needs love too! this week also gave me a new hc about her full name (it's chorbitha)
my YHG headcanon is that they're basically just a chill crunchy outdoorsy type who now has a supernatural affinity for birds. idk where the overalls idea came from but i like it! camping on a cliff like this might not be super safe but they know what they're doing
i was getting tired of drawing pine trees at this point so i dropped glover and washer in a birch forest! i think i'm the only one who pictures glover as a blaseball glove, but that's okay. all headcanons are valid!
ooh, okay. this look for the Hall was basically yanked wholesale from a comic by @Hungrymozic. it's a whole nother dimension but also a prison? and everything is toned in hall colors

another hc born from an old photoshop: sutton and roland are best pals, and annie left her gravy boat collection to him (the silver one has their initials engraved on it). a new headcanon premiering in this video: sutton plays the banjo! or, he tries. he's learning!

i don't think it's a hard and fast rule that blaseball players only wear clothes that are their team colors, but the magic definitely do, and so does penny.

hex! halexandrey walton was another swap that hurt my lil heart, but again, she seems to be thriving in unlimited los angeles. some people hc her as more cartoony and anthropomorphic, but i still love her as just a coyote that wandered on the field one day.
how do you make los angeles look infinite? if you're me, you repeat the same skyline like 7 times and add halftone dots to make it look like spiderverse. idk if it works. the other taco players are basilio mason and vito kravitz
harrell check! harrell seems to really be thriving in hawai'i, and meditating on a surfboard seemed like the chillest thing i could have her doing, tbh. i've always shown her as being a void since she doesn't exist, which is hard to represent sometimes.

this video was my first attempt at actually animating anything? i've done silly little gifs in photoshop, but all this was thrown together in imovie because i was too intimidated to learn a new program lol
i wouldn't mind taking a run at a new one sometime in the future. i love the magic with all my heart and making this was super fun. maybe when games start back again? i'm also already thinking of what other neilcic songs would work. cannibal maybe? or t.i.m.e?
idk about making the whole thing full color illustrations tho, lol.
i tried to keep this thing as under wraps as possible because i have an awful art habit of showing my in-prog work, then losing interest and quitting. i did post some out of context shots on discord tho, without explaining them. im not perfect v

that last pic is a spoiler that @graciedarts was the only person i told i was working on it. big ups to her for putting up with my nonstop messages about this thing as i tried to wrangle it to being finished. she's the best.
