PREPARE YE, PREPARE YE, MARS IN TAURUS IS HERE. As a native of this particular transit we're all about to collectively experience, I thought I would offer up some of my Mars in Taurus thoughts lately. Like other planets in detriment, making good use of it requires an unorthodox
approach. For me, Mars in Taurus is about standing your ground rather than attacking. Mars in Taurus is an immovable object. Mars in Taurus is about staking claim to sovereignty and joy in life, and defending it with ferocity. Mars in Taurus doesn't hit hard. He simply refuses
to be moved. For me personally, this placement has taken on the form of a spirit guide I've been working with for awhile: Badger. Badgers have held significance in my life for awhile. The only sports team I ever played for was the Badgers. Beyond that, as a kid on the farm,
a frequent chore was 'moving pipe'. We would manually move lengths of irrigation pipe across the fields to ensure better water coverage of the crops. Badger setts were frequent in our fields, and I was always warned to stay clear, even if it seemed abandoned.
"A badger defending it's home is about as bad as a wolverine." my dad said to me. Badgers in the wild have been know to defend carcasses from cougars and even bears by themselves. They will dig often a new sett underneath a carcass, so they can maintain constant vigilance over it
And so, to me, Mars in Taurus is a Badger. Not much gets Mars in Taurus to move in any sudden kind of way, except for that which is most vital. Where is Mars in your chart, and what areas within that house will you defend without falter? What emboldens you enough to make you
draw a line in the sand, and dare others to cross it? During this difficult transit, may Mars teach us the value of what we fight for, and how to be implacable in it's defense. When we only have energy for so many things, what takes priority? Around what precious treasures
do we circle our wagons? Conserve yourself. Even warriors need to rest every once in a while. And, last but not least, Mars in Taurus is long-lasting, enduring passion. We do not find the flashfire of Aries here. Mars in Taurus is a slow burn. Enjoy it.
