Guiliani just called for combat to overturn the election and he was met by applause. As someone who has seen, firsthand, the terrible consequences of internecine warfare, I can unabashedly assert that even the mere insinuation of civil war is beyond reckless.

Warfare, in itself, is one of the most cruel scourges that can be visited on any land; internecine warfare is the cruelest. Guiliani's words are not merely reckless: they are vile, reprehensible, and are an invitation to carry out enormous evil.

The concepts of #sedition and #treason do not even begin to capture the abomination that was Guiliani's message today. Messages such as we saw today manifest in the absolute collapse of the body politic, the fracturing of society, and the destruction of the commonweal.
