I’m sure many will disagree, but I can’t and won’t agree to my staff doing live lessons. The pressure, safeguarding & workload would result in burn out.Pre-recorded works just as well, keeps people safe & allows pupils to work at a pace that suits them, freeing up staff to support.
There is a professional distance needed, even when we need to work even harder at feeling together as a community. Working at home and seeing inside people’s homes feeling like a huge invasion of privacy. Maybe my opinion will change over time, but @OakNational @cbbc and my own
teachers are curating and creating high quality content without the need for the ‘live’ element. Making phone calls, checking in and other school community projects still keeps that sense of belonging and welfare in check.
