Georgia is what happens when Dems use grassroots organization contact EVERY voter and don't just act like people owe them their vote.

Stacy Abrams built a system in GA that beleived every vote mattered and made it so. This is how Dems can win in red states.

Care.
This is also important given how much of the Latinx vote the Dems lost in the presidential. Yes, that speaks to the ability of Latinx being swayed by the promise of whiteness, but it also means something that the BH campaign did not start their campaign to Larinx folks in FL --
-- until AFTER 45 was already doing his. AND dems did not even take into consideration that Latinx issues in FL are NOT the same as those for those of us who live near thw border or have a different culture.
Voter apathy in red states isn't some out of touch thing, but reacting to being disenfranchised repeatedly and seeing exactly how your vote doesn't matter bc of the systems in place.
Dems need to break the system. Stacy Abrams did and built a new one and did it by getting out there, and pushing value and breaking down the barriers put around voting. That's what dems have to do movojg forward. I just hope they actually take note.
Also if you need more data points, grassroots and caring is also how progressive leaders deseat establishment dems in 2018 and two seats in 2020. Ans they'll do it again 2022. Dems need to wake up.
Instead of just screaming "every vote matters" at people in red states Dems need to say, "every vote should matter, but they don't because gerrymandering, etc. Let's fix that." And then invest time in actually breaking the existing system and creating one.
Like Sracy Abrams intelligence and determination in her gubernatorial is why we"re looking at a blue GA. She didn't act like the system worked, she acknowledged why it didnt and then confronted it head on. Dems are too soon to give platitudes and nicities.
The system is fucked. Acknowledge that. Then burn it down. Then build a new one.
One last thing. The thing grassroots orgs do is they TEACH the voter. They inform them of the issues. They answer their questions. They don't just load them on buses and drive them to the polls. They trust the voter to understand and learn.
It's how progressives win, it's how people get more invested in the process. Treat your voters like people. White dems too often just assume that brown folks will just go to the polls bc "of course they'll vote blue." We saw how that turned out.
DAMNIT WHY DID MY PHONE REMOVE THE E!?

I'M SO SORRY. *STACEY ABRAMS

Anyway. If you're skeptical on any of this just watch All In, it's on prime and details the ways in which Stacey Abrams has been rebuilding voting systems in GA.
