Listened to @TKPPodcast for the first time today and I wish I chanced upon this sooner. John Maxwell shared some incredible insights on developing the leader within us, and here are 8 of my favourite liners.

A thread:
1. Living life for significance can put you worlds apart from one who's living for success.

2. Learning, unlearning and relearning is a lifelong process. It doesn't stop when you leave school.

3. Character is birthed out of adversity.
4. Be growth-oriented, not goal-oriented. One has a finish line, the other doesn't. What happens after you cross the finish line is everything.

5. Everything worthwhile is uphill.

6. Be picky about the people closest to you. They are the key to the kind of life you'll lead.
7. If you want to be a great communicator, you have to first get over yourself.

8. You can only add value to the people and things you value.
4 stood out to me the most, especially since I've been thinking about my goals & direction for the new year.

7 was an interesting perspective!

I soooo agree with 8 (and everything else that I listed, of course).
