Tariffs/ red tape arising from re-export rule of origin issue obviously not issue for Canada or Japan trading with EU, because 1000s miles away, so reexport doesn’t really happen.

Happened hugely between UK & EU, but now have consequences of modelling UK relationship on Jp/ Can

Just been visiting a popcorn factory - Queens export award winner - couriers just returned to sender this consignment of exports meant for EU customers after some confusion over new customs paperwork.. not now accepting deliveries, lorries not at ports but at depots, boss says...
Govt report lorry flows across Channel have been at just 40% of the normal rate - 1584 lorries a day versus 4067 this time last year.

Next week lorry traffic expected to increase 3-4 fold up to 6000 lorries a day.
