Epiphany is today, January 6th. The day we recognize the Wise Men, the proverbial Three Kings, who traveled from the east to bow down and worship Jesus, the True King. May all false kings and idols be toppled today and may we worship Jesus alone.
2/ Epiphany also shows us that the power of Herod, the false king, was to end. A Light was dawning on those who had walked in darkness and the nations would come to that true Light, even if the darkness could not understand it. Of course, Herod reacted in rage and violence.
3/ May we see Jesus, not false kings. “He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. And he will be our peace.” Micah 5:4-5
