My thoughts on this thread
-
I’d like to begin with tackling the notion that people are aiming to ‘desperately authenticate’ Kitab Sulaym because of
a movie which is being released by Yassir al Habib on the life of Sayyida Fatima (sa) https://twitter.com/alsayf_/status/1345011270915940353
Whilst on one hand saying having an opinion on which I/others hold, that is backed up is ‘fine’, then there being a refutation crisis become incumbent on people with different opinions?
In addition, after reading a few lines of the first paragraph, I got the feeling that there was an insinuation that you are supposedly the only one with expertise within Islamic sciences because your opinion is getting increasingly publicised... lol
If one has studied the events, and has reached a conclusion based on their research, why is there still an issue with this?

These same points were used prior to the movies trailer release so this argument is completely absurd.
1) Lets begin with Ayatullah Khomeini (ra)

He didn’t reject the censuses rather he was speaking about the ashab al ijma in general.

- Who are Ashab al-jjma ?

They are the ones to whom the isnad of ahadith reaches through sahih isnad. https://twitter.com/alsayf_/status/1345011284643868673
Ayatullah Khomeini (ra) quoting from Kitab Sulaym: (more below)
2) lets do just that :)

S. Abu Abdillah An-Nu'mani writes: "Among all the followers of the people of the House (as.) who are firmly grounded in the knowledge and traditions of the Imams (as.), there is no disagreement that the book of Sulaym Ibn Qais Al-Hilali is one of the... https://twitter.com/alsayf_/status/1345011277027041280
principles of the most powerful books that the people of knowledge are reporting and is related to the firmly grounded and foremost traditions of the people of the House (as), because everything that encompasses this principle is reported by the Prophet Muhammad (saww) and...
followers of the people of the house (as) fall back and on which they rely on." [Al-Ghaibah, page 103]
3) Examples of Sheikh Kulayni quoting from Kitab Sulaym: (more below)
4) Moving to a different scholar we now have Sheikh Hurr al Amili. Here he mentions that al Kishi had narrations that thanked him and authenticated his work.

Then he goes to mention that Allamah al Hili doubted the book to be fabricated but Sheikh al Amili defended the book and
that it was authenticated by imam Sajjad (as)
Sheikh al Amili mentioned the authentications of Al Nu'mani:
In the same book, Sheikh Amili mentioned the mutawatir and mu'taba books at the early years and he mentioned kitab sulyam to be one of them:
5) Another point to note is that Sheikh Al Nu'mani mentioned this as well:

He said kitab Sulaym is one of the Usool (principles) that we have

What do we mean by Usool books?
Usool here means the books that were written by the companions of our imams. They were referred to as Usool.

E.g Zurara was sahib Asil (single form of Usool)

Mohammad Ibn Muslik was also Sahib
Asil
Oh, also not everything is a copy paste article'😂, which apparently my previous thread was of. I hope that claim isnt placed upon this thread too.
‘Scholars are partially responsible for not doing their work and building a solid case for you’

Continuation:

And after [reaching those Ashab], we are not to research for the rest of the men in the isnad. Because our sect has a consensus on the authenticity of [Ashab al-ijma’s] disconnected reports https://twitter.com/ahussain371/status/1346799761777700864
