1/ Debated whether to post my 2020 performance. Absolutely astonished +83%

Lady Luck played a big part with a few positions doing all the heavy lifting & I’m mindful that pride comes before a fall. Simply want to highlight the compounding effect which EVERYONE can achieve

2/ In 10 years monitoring I’ve fortunately compounded a gain of +3,840% or CAGR of 44%. Compounding is an essential lesson for ALL investors at the outset & while my approach with small caps is undoubtedly high risk similar can be achieved over a longer timeframe with lower risk

3/ At end August I wrote up the position I found myself, having recovered from a dreadful Q1 both personally & portfolio terms. Down (-42%) at March lows to +31% end AugThis was due predominantly to large gains in #TPX #GMR #SMRT & #WEY offset by large losses in #EQLS & #NBI

4/ The reason for significant outperformance in Q4 was due to continuation of strong gains across conviction stocks #SMRT & #TPX rose +800% & +300% respectively from March lows & #WEY also +135% in 2020

Gains in #VLX #BOKU #IDEA & others also helped in 2020 which I’ve now sold

5/ I’ve retained or added to most core positions such as #SPSY #SMRT #WEY #OMIP #GMR #EKF #TIDE & have recently taken a few new ones in likes of #SIS & #RBGP with fingers crossed for under performers such as #EQLS #KAPE & #FA
Also have few other v small peripheral holdings.

6/ Lots of lessons learned & I’ve discovered a lot about the resilience of myself & others. I’m certainly not complacent as we enter 2021. For me there are more important things in life than investing & I’m looking to the next chapter on how to help more in my local community

7/ Please remember we all have different circumstances, strategies, time frames & investment pots so performance is relative. Important one sets goals & develops a strategy which works for them
