...entire industry relies upon flights happening. All the companies that deal with things like flight catering, baggage handling, fueling, aircraft maintenance etc are all affected.
But now we have to address the other elephant in the room. The UK Governments consistent failure to implement testing inbound and outbound at UK airports has resulted in a much more transmissible strain of COVID 19 escaping the UK and hitting international...
...cities. So the UK Government is not only answerable to the UK population for allowing COVID 19 cases to enter the UK (which is an island and no reason it shouldn't have a really low instance of COVID because of that - see New Zealand et al), but it is also now answerable...
...to countries around the world for the deaths caused by the new mutation getting out of the UK to other countries! All because the UK Government doesn't want to ensure proper testing at airports.
They keep banging on about international cooperation, and yet they have failed to do the one thing that would help out international partners - testing to stop them from being re-infected with different strains of the virus!
