Why we should keep Ronald Koeman as Barcelona manager (a thread)
Ronald Koeman joined the club in August when the club morale was very low after that humiliation to Bayern. Barcelona fans should not have had any expectations for this season because of the low morale.
Koeman's tactics have worked very well and we have created a lot of chances, however I don't think our finishing will be very good when we rely on the likes of Martin Braithwaite and an out of form Antoine Griezmann
You can also see that Goalkeepers perform very well against us, actually the best vs any fairly big club. Our finishing being poor does not help, but this isn't really Koeman's fault.
A lot of our goals conceded have been due to individual error or a stupid challenge/unfair penalty decision.
Some examples are the mistake by Lenglet vs Cadiz, the 2 penalties given away vs Juventus, the mistake by Araujo vs Eibar or the poor refereeing decisions vs Getafe.
If these individual errors could have been avoided we would be very close to atletico madrid, or even top of the league.
Koeman has come to the club in a situation where we have no money for transfers and he can't reinforce the squad where he wants. I would say he is doing a decent job and changing the manager will not do much. Xavi is not ready yet and this is a suicide mission for any manager.
His only mistake has been with not playing Puig but no manager is perfect. I'd rather trust someone who managed Everton, Southampton, the Dutch NT and is a club legend over someone who has only coached Al Sadd and people want him because of his club legend status.
