BREAKING: Makati City Prosecutors’ Office resolves to refer the Christine Dacera case for FURTHER INVESTIGATION and to release 3 suspects in detention pending conduct of preliminary investigation
Prosec Gen Benedicto Malcontento made announcement. Says prelim investigation will have to determine (1) if Dacera was raped and/or killed and if yes, who were responsible; and (2) whether death was by reason or on occasion of rape or for other reasons — actual cause of death
Police also required to submit additional evidence such as DNA analysis report, toxicology/chemical analysis, histopath exam. Hearing on preliminary examination set on January 13, 2021 at 10am.
