A short story re mRNA #COVID19vaccine

Does it work?

Is it safe?

Some folks are worried that the new technology will create mutants or zombies.

Good news! So far there’s no evidence of this happening.
1st point: Old technology isn’t always better than new, & vice versa.

We don’t judge based on the tech, we judge based on what works.

Medical studies are carefully designed to look at the impact - both positive & negative - on the recipient.

2nd point: mRNA do not change DNA sequence. They’re also very unstable, & will be in our body for a very short period of time.

The mRNA remains in the cytoplasm & do not go to the nucleus (where the DNA is).

So the mRNA vaccine doesn’t even get in contact with our genome
A step back:

DNA provides instructions.

mRNA is the molecule that puts DNA instructions into action.

#mrnavaccine trick the body into producing some of the viral proteins itself, allowing our immune system to be prepared.
3rd point: By the time we get the #mrnavaccine in Malaysia, millions would’ve had it & we will get even more info re potential side effects.

There is no such thing as a medicine - ‘organic’ or not - that is 100% side-effect-free for 100% of people.
4th point: There is no medicine that works 100% of the time for 100% of people. Nor is there a medicine that is suitable for 100% of the population.

Which means we must continue with our SOPs, avoiding the #3Cs & practising the #3Ws
