Needs to be cast off, loose ends woven and blocked, but here’s my 2020 temperature blanket, pretty much finished. Each row is one day, each stitch represents 15 minutes. High temps on the left, low on the right. Daylight hours on the left, hours of darkness on the right.
The diagonal line represents the liminal hours between dark and light. Gold stitches for the equinoxes and solstices. And a big gold row either side of the day Jacob was born.
I will stitch the two panels together to make a really thick warm blanket. Has been a fun thing to do and shows what you can easily make by just doing a row a day. Though I have to say that my 2021 temp blanket does not involve quite so many loose ends to weave in...
