đŸ§”Reflections on live lessons so far. @quizziz was a huge hit with all of my classes as a starter, they enjoyed seeing the leaderboard screen ...but I do need to set a clear time limit on the task (some students took far longer than others and it held up the lesson)
@padlet worked well with my Y12s, I used this to recall knowledge on Nicholas II but it equally fantastic for judgement paragraphs, introductions or summarising student learning
Reading and comprehension are going to feature a lot, with 2 little ones at home I can’t be ‘present all of the time’. I set these exercises as assignments on google classroom and ask students to upload (so I can quickly skim over them)
I struggled with my 7s yesterday and need to create an expectations/ground rules slide. There were a few interruptions and at times, I felt this was because my explanations weren’t clear enough. Mini lesson overviews shared with students are something I am going to trial today
