how to be a decent [normal] kpop fan/ fan

; a needed and serious thread
β€” as a fan, you should know your limits.
β€” respect their privacy, THEY ARE HUMAN TOO. if you ever meet them irl, please avoid screaming because it might gain attention and other fans of them might chase them.
β€” please DO NOT engage with tweets such as "[ group name ] sucks" they just want attention, so instead of trying to ratio them, just ignore, block and report.
β€” if you are clearing searches DO NOT search with [those] words bcs it makes it hard to clear the searches. also don't do "[insert name] vocals" instead type smthng related for example: it starts with "u" so put "[insert name] unique"
β€” STOP with the "[fandom one] and [fandom two] are so toxic. NO. open your eyes and see that ALL FANDOMS has toxicity.
β€” RESPECT OTHERS OPINION. if their opinion is too hateful NEVER say something bad about the group they stan because it will cause fan wars
β€” when a member is doing a live DO NOT ask for other members, that's just plain disrespectful
β€” ALWAYS REMEMBER that your idol/s are human too, don't use the phrase "they're celebs, not humans" NO because remember that they can also feel what we can. DO NOT BE INCONSIDERATE of what they're feeling.
β€” if your idol shared something that is personal, it means they trust you so don't let it spread.
β€” if there is an issue from other groups/member/s that you don't stan, please stay out of it.
β€” if you are doing an "unpopular opinion" in kpop, include MANY groups, not just one.
β€” if a person says something bad about your ult group DO NOT attack their ult group and say that their fandom is toxic, because doing that makes you toxic too.
β€” for some of the solo stans, (i'm actually not okay with them) LEARN TO RESPECT THE OTHER MEMBERS
β€” and please i'm tired of ppl saying "oh you have a bias, so you don't support them?" no, it isn't like that ffs
β€” if you find a suspicious/ nsfw/ hate account, it is better to send through the dms
β€” stop with the "normalize" things for idols, it was always normal for them. instead, fix the mind set of those ppl who says it isn't normal.
β€” STOP SEXUALIZING IDOLS ffs
β€” if you are given a chance to have a video call with them, use comfy yet appropriate clothing and talk to them like you guys are besties but DO NOT ask too personal questions
β€” if you don't stan the group DO NOT use them as your icon for "aesthetics"
β€” RESPECT your idol's decision, if they want to get a tattoo, a hair cut, it's up to them since it's their own body.
