I’ve never seen this happen before, ever to this degree. After hours and hours of milking the drama and acting like the Dems were slowly falling apart and losing, Kornacki at 9:37 just casually drops that actually,
”About 45% of it (the state vote) is going to come from these 4 counties, 4 core Democratic counties” -Kornacki at 9:37 or 9:38 on MSNBC after not mentioning it the entire previous 3 hrs
Kornacki is now having a meltdown and struggling to use his touch screen, so maybe he really didn’t know. Either way that’s either incredibly dishonest or incredibly incompetent and unacceptable either way
And CNN and king have been even worse from what I’ve heard
And just a reminder, people like @Nate_Cohn and @Redistrict have apparently been on top of this all along, so this isn’t some new narrative being created for Dems to try to seal the race
This kind of incompetence/lying for ratings will only feed into the right wing conspiracy theories about Dems creating votes at the last second and stealing the race so CNN and Msnbc are ac really increasing the likelihood of some right wing extremist action with this crap
As of 10 pm it appears someone reached out to Kornacki, as now suddenly he’s immediately talking about the outstanding vote and acting totally differently than he was just 20 mins earlier
Kornacki as of 10:03 now says there are about 190,000 votes remaining to be counted out in Decalb County and that apparently they’re supposed to be extremely heavily Democratic. So after freaking out over 4,000 vote differences all night, only now do we hear Dems had all these
votes in the bank already,
He then shows the current vote total I’m Dekalb and Warnock is currently winning it 83.4% to 16.6% and Kornacki literally describes the outstanding votes as ”a huge, huge, huge batch of votes sitting there“

Cable news is getting worse at these races. You might think having gone thru an election in Covid times already, they’d be better prepared, but they seem to have realized they are never held accountable and just doing whatever they can for ratings instead
