Slaughterhouse workers literally have their documentation status held over their heads to prevent them from unionizing and fighting for rights like this.
Meanwhile, consuming animal products is unnecessary and detrimental to all beings in the process.
And "processing" all of these dead bodies literally causes PTSD for slaughterhouse workers that aren't protected or supported by any employer based health insurance.
We've forced these people to work in COVID hot spots this ENTIRE PANDEMIC. Their physical and mental health are constantly on the line for things like burgers and steaks, when most of us can simply eat other foods.
These people deserve a path to citizenship, healthcare, and safety from a deadly virus.

We should be boycotting all animal products not only for the sake of the animals, but also in solidarity with workers who are unable to unionize/organize due to their heinous employers.
