Los Angeles is really bad with COVID right now. I have friends who are doctors & nurses and there are no ICUs and hospital beds open. Ambulances are being turned away. So even with this limited show, it would 1. Look bad 2. Potentially be bad healthwise.
So yeah, nothing might change by March in terms of COVID. BUT it's also possible that they moved the date because they will make even more adjustments, like at-home performances and/or pre-recorded. And moving it to March will give them time to do that.
Yes, it sucks we don't get a Taylor performance at the Grammys this month. But let's at least agree that this was probably a good idea in terms of slowing/stopping the spread of COVID.
