Sorting the MDM in 5 man pro is extremely difficult for multiple reasons:
- Must set deep
- Your eyes are opposite of your set
- Post snap communication/decisions

As mentioned in previous threads, drills that involve decision making are necessary to transfer skills from training to performance. In training, it is critical to understand that drills DO NOT build motor skills, they express them.

Understanding this, you must distinguish whether you are trying to build motor skills or rep practical scenarios and program them accordingly. One without the other is suboptimal.

The ambiguity of the terms drills/skills can make this confusing, so here is an example. A fire DRILL gets you outside of a building as quickly as possible by navigating the quickest path to the exit. It does not physically make you faster.

A sort DRILL helps you navigate the quickest path to the MDM. It does not physically improve your pass set.

With that being said, we utilize this drill to:
- Gain insight on how effectively our motor skills are transferring
- Practice the keys to picking up the MDM in 5 man pro
- Optimize decision making
