1/ In the Co-op today on the Clitheroe bypass a lad late 20s walks in with no mask. I ask him where it is he says he doesn't have to wear one. I say it's obligatory in shops. He says he had a test and he's neg. I ask when he says 3 weeks ago. I say you could be infected now.

2/ He tells me not to talk to him like that. I tell him I'm already talking to him like that and it's because of people like him we're in the mess we're in. He walks past into the shop. I tell the bloke on checkout he says there's nothing he can do. Bollocks

3/ One of my local shops has a sign - "No Mask / No Service" and the woman who runs the shop refuses to serve people who aren't masked. Johnson misses pretty much every point there is in this story. The virus is a respiratory virus - it spreads not by touch but by breath.

4/ Not just coughing or sneezing but by breathing close enough to load them with the virus. The bigger the load the more deadly the result. Compulsory mask wearing in all public spaces including open spaces would save a lot of lives. But this govt through its libertarian stance

5/ encourages dickheads like the lad in the Co-op who sees this all as a pain in the arse and can't really be bothered. Why? Because he's been told there's no such thing as society, that self is the only thing that counts. Until we change that mindset we're fucked.
