Very excited to hear the next session on "Museums and Object-based Learning in the Era of COVID-19" at #AIASCS - a topic quite dear to me given my background as an artist, educator, and curator & the work that I do now in grantmaking w/ many museums & cultural institutions.
I'm especially intrigued by the rich and simple "virtual object study sessions" presented by Betsy Dospel Williams @DumbartonOaks. No fancy tech; just bring your zoom. Minimizes risks to objects & gives access to objects to many students. So simple yet effective! #AIASCS
The current talk by @EgyptoloJen and Frances Gallart Marques on shared authority, agency, and accessibility in object-based learning at @harvartmuseums is

- truly connecting objects and learners in the best possible ways. #AIASCS

This session is really reminding me of how much I have always loved museum work and the synergy of communication between objects and people. Thanks to all of the presenters! #AIASCS
"What happened to the boar?" - Seth Pevnick @ClevelandArt gives a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at developing an exhibit of objects from storage as well as forgeries, including this awesome (but fake) Etruscan boar. #AIASCS https://www.clevelandart.org/art/1977.42
