The Akatsuki and LOV comparison thread. Which group is overall better? (Manga Readers Only)
Hype goes to the Akatsuki. Everytime they were on screen they delivered. They had this energy about them and were mysterious and them all being overpowered in their own way that our heroes had to grow to overcome was fantastic. Not to mention certain individuals in the group
Leader goes to Shigaraki. (Obito was the leader behind the scenes) Shigaraki many parallels to the mc and constant growth as an antagonist and leader was incredible. Growing to truly care about his comrades and always got back up no matter how many times he failed.
And even looked for advice from his enemies to grow until he was ready and now is truly delivering on the hype while even taking down other enemy organizations to take him and his friends to the top as he says they rightfully deserves to achieve their dreams and never wavering.
Character writing is a very hard one because of Itachi, Nagato, and Obito and honorable mention Sasori. But I also have to go with the LOV here. Shigaraki who is constantly growing as a character and antagonist and leader to truly surpass AFO as the new king,
Toga’s mentally disturbed mind and constant struggle within herself because she’s starting to learn she truly isn’t normal and it’s tearing her apart because she can’t help and the longer she continues to be who she is she will end up like Twice,
Twice’s mentally disturbed mind and constant battle within himself and fear of loneliness and constant state of depression until he eventually found friends who accepts him for who he is regardless of them being "Villains"
Dabi with the mysteries surrounding himself and his relationship with Hawks and Endeavor and his path of revenge and jealously and hatred to burn down hero society
Mr Compress and his family’s lineage is something this is newly introduced but enough to make his character stand alone and made him very interesting
Spinner hasn’t contributed much but his character holds the group together and connects them all and his past of experiencing hate crimes based on what he looks like also makes his character stand alone and makes us look forward towards his future
Re destro and his favorite lineage is also very interesting and he’s self explanatory with his arc where he went up against the LOV. Much more
Next I will be comparing them as a group which will also go the LOV. Non of them are one arc and done even with the background members like Muscular who is most likely about to appear in the upcoming prison break arc. The LOV are also always constantly growing—
and they all have chemistry and truly bond (ofc Dabi has his own agenda) they will die for each, rise to power together. And doesn’t try to kill each other every chance they get
Which group is more iconic? Obviously this goes to the Akatsuki I mean their logo alone makes even non anime watchers know who they are. Also the typical villain group that most of them are evil to the core and delivers on their hype
Potential? This obviously goes to the LOV. Self explanatory and they still have much potential since they started from the bottom
Impact??? As of right now goes to the Akatsuki. This group was feared worldwide. But LOV is also close to in terms of impact. In terms of impacting characters it goes to LOV. In terms of destruction is iffy.
Counting the 4th war it was just Obito and Kabuto, the Akatsuki were no more. With the League counting season 2, season 3, the my villain academia arc, and the current war arc they are always causing mass destruction everywhere they attack. Leaving their mark.
Therefore the better villain group goes to The League Of Villains
