Last thing, let me tell you how thorough they're being now. So I sent out for an absentee ballot, but I forgot to do it and send it in until yesterday and said welp, it probably won't be accepted this late, so I'll just go vote in person...
When I get to the polling location, the computer told the poll worker that I had already received an absentee ballot and that I couldn't vote again (I hadn't voted yet) unless I sign saying that I agreed to have the absentee ballot discarded.
So I signed the paperwork thingy and then they called someone somewhere who verified that they hadn't received or wouldn't take an absentee ballot from me this election. I waited for them to make the call, and then they let me vote.
It was very thorough and not at all off-putting or time-consuming, I almost forgot I was dealing with a government entity!

Anyway, they've always been rather vigorous in Ga imo, but I guess I never really took notice of it until now.
Lastly, it's very easy to vote here in Ga if you're a responsible person. They ask for your ID, they check the role, you vote, that's it. Generally speaking, if you can't vote here, it's because you didn't take on the responsibility of some remedial tasks beforehand. That's it.
