I've said this before, but I will say it again. While I completely agree that some journalists can be biased pains in the ass, imagine where we would be without them. Ask yourself how much more Trump would have accomplished if he been able to keep us all in the dark. /1
Imagine how much worse things would have been if Trump and his henchmen would have been able to operate in the dark with no one available to shine the light on their activities. Trumps claims of fake news have clearly been shown to be false. /2
The Founders knew what they were doing when they protected the Free Press, understanding their function as the eyes and ears of the American people. We must do all we can to support them, not just by consuming the product, but financially as well. /3
Buy a subscription to @wapo, @nytimes, or any other of the national papers. Sign up for @BulwarkOnline, and other online sources. Listen to the podcasts from the @BulwarkOnline (my favorite), or the New Abnormal with @MollyJongFast or @TheRickWilson. /4
Lastly, but as important, support your local news sources. Most major cities have smaller papers that can use your support. In my city there's the @PGHCityPaper. /5
Keep your eyes and ears open by keeping these organizations viable.
