The first half was really exciting to watch. Great domination from Mumbai City FC. That happened because Lobera did an unexpected thing in the first 30 minutes. Enough to shake Bengaluru FC for the entire game.

Deshorn Brown was playing RW. Very unexpected thing from Cuadrat. However, this means Lobera will look to compress down that area. Limiting only to defend, which he is not known for.

And that happened! Many a times Deshorn didn't tracked the opponent properly.

Bipin was the real game changer. Not because of his goal, because of how well he implemented the tactical tweak from Lobera. He moved inside taking away his man and making that space for Mandar. Since Deshorn isn't a proper winger, Mandar ended up with acres of space.

Not only this, we saw many a times him swapping positions with Boumous and Le Fondre respectively.

BFC defended with 424 sometimes, and sometimes with 451. When having a front 4 off the ball, the line was totally flat. However off the ball formation kept changing as I said. That 451 looked better anyways. But that was supposed to be more better*

BFC kept the distance between last line and mid line narrower, compared with distance between Opseth and mid line. As shown here. We saw the opposite with KBFC against MCFC, where they kept distance between the lines. However, that's the space where Lobera's attackers live.

Using that space wisely is one of key of Lobera's offensive success. His attackers exploits that very well.

In the last pic, look at BFC #9 and MCFC #5. Opseth was supposed to be marking Jahouh as he was the outmost player of the team. That's the thing which I was talking about

Opseth didn't followed Jahouh at all and it looked like he is just there for numerical presence. That's how Csaba Laszlo managed to restrict Jahouh to a huge extent. Sylvestr was doing that to perfection, which Opseth didn't.

I think Cuadrat needed Chhetri and Udanta upfront. They would come up pace and those defensive things like what I just said. These two in place of Opseth-Brown respectively.

One thing is for sure, Cuadrat is struggling without Ashique.

Cuadrat has to change his tactics after his injury.

We saw BFC didn't utilising the balls which they were getting. We saw that many times when they easily lost possession. However, things changed in after 30' when BFC started keeping the hold of ball better.
