it is, of course, likely that editorial framed the headline, and certainly the tweet, and not the reporter. This is a systemic choice rather than a personal failing (I deleted a tweet tagging the reporter who I am sure is lovely and much better at their job than I am at anything)

almost no one reads past the headline
almost no one reads past the first couple paragraphs
really almost no one watches the 50 minute video

allowing clearly disprovable right-wing lies to drive the whole piece is wrong.
give hawley a chance to make his claims in paragraph 15 and only print them if you're allowed to ask a followup question maybe
