I can’t see the win in this at all. Universities are battling to come up with a value proposition that works in the current climate where the perception is college costs to much / is inaccessible. Still want more? I can’t imagine that @saragoldrickrab and @hope4college (or anyone with eyes) think this would make sense for #realcollege students.
Point being here, yes, revenue is hard right now. But coercing students into high-fee contracts in the name of “retention” isn’t going to help you attract a diverse population of students.
