When asked about her lies, Sarah Sanders explained that the "lie is pointing out an important truth." https://terikanefield-blog.com/what-to-expect-on-wednesday/
The "truth" for the right wing is that they are the victims; "others" are trying to take what belongs to them (the top of the hierarchy). https://twitter.com/WalshFreedom/status/1346452502443667460

They see it as "it feels true."
I think of it as a metaphoric truth, not a literal truth: The election was rigged because everything is rigged.
The difference is between "hierarchy" and "fairness" people. Some people think fairness is possible . . . https://twitter.com/jgrssi/status/1346480387657109513

. . .they believe the purpose of government is to create fairness.
Hierarchy people don't think fairness is possible. They think nature forms a hierarchy. Some people belong at the top, naturally.
Fairness people want regulations to stop cheating and create, well, fairness.

Hierarchy people think that these regulations are really intended to let the undeserving bottom of the hierarchy rise to the top by displacing those who belong there.

. . . they think the purpose of government is to maintain the hierarchy. When they're in charge, that's what they do.
They think when "others" are in charge, they do the same.
Trump's followers love him because he tells them they are the top of the hierarchy. . .

That's why it all feels rigged. They think liberals have rigged the system against them by trying to create "equality," which they think means "THEY want to be top."

Of course, the way all plays out in the United States is race because that's our history, and reactionaries [and fascists] always want to return to a time in the [mythical] past when the nation was great. https://twitter.com/PAllopenna/status/1346480887836209155
In our past, the hierarchy had White men at the top, and Black women at the bottom. 19th century laws reinforced the hierarchy. Women couldn't vote. Even after the Civil War, rape of a Black woman wasn't recognized as a crime, etc.
To heirarchy people, hierarchy feels orderly.

If you want to read two books which, taken together, explain this, I recommend @jasonintrator, How Fascism Works, and @HC_Richardson, To Make Men Free, one about fascism and one grounded in American history.
This was the perfect answer. Raffensperger meant literal truth. Fox and right-wing media thrive on myth.

To quote @TimothyDSnyder (his YouTube series) for fascism to take hold, factuality must be cleared away.

I think the response to your comment is that WE think they are the bottom.
Trump tells them that they would be at the top, if not for others taking what belongs to them and displacing them.
Consider advantages once came from simply being white and male. https://twitter.com/CaliMel5/status/1346509855515840512

In the "good old days" white men could basically grab whatever they wanted.
On the frontier, they could grab land.
They could grab women (rape laws were designed to protect men from false accusation instead of protecting women from attack. Sexual assault as a crime is new. . .

Before regulatory agencies, they could manipulate markets, launder money, and fix prices.
That's why they hate those regulatory agencies.
The intention is to create fairness and stop cheating.
They see them as an infringement on personal "liberty."
